For the first time, the Holiday Challenge t-shirts are going to be made available to the UK as C2 US have got together with their UK counterparts to make sure it happens for us (see thread here).

Hey,
Check out how close we are to MIT!! Only about 75k! Amazing. We can get them! I'm cheering all of you high-milage people on because I can only manage about 50k a week. I'll do as much as I can though. Maybe I should do a HM this weekend to start the New Year off! Maybe. Maybe not. It would be terribly slow...

Carole,
Sorry to hear about your leg. I'm sure you will recover quickly. You are young and fit and healthy! You will just have to get creative with ways to amuse yourself...

Debra

Got another 14 hours to go here in the UK but I'd certainly like to extend my best wishes to all the Taff Attack throng and to all indoor rowers worldwide. Being part of the indoor rowing community and Taff Attack in particular has been a major benefit to my rowing as well as hooking me up with new friends.

Martin,

No news coverage of the challenge yet so it'll be a January event (when they have a quiet news day - which could be a while given the awful situation in Asia). I wont be telling them I've finished the challenge as I want the publicity to hopefully raise additional funds for Sophie.

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!

MIT must have all gone home for Christmas. I went home for Christmas, too. 8 days without touching the rower, and counting.

Had guests for Christmas so Andy made me put the erg away to make room for the dining table.

No rowing for 10 days, although thankfully I haven't put on any weight over the Christmas period.

It's been exactly a week for me not rowing...ate like a pig at my mom's over Christmas, she is the best cook in the world! Got back home and hopped on the scale the first morning we were back...lo and behold, what a miracle! not an ounce gained! even though I ate more than usual and didn't work out at all! ....well, isn't that what it means when the digital scale reads "Lo"?

oh....guess I'd better recharge the batteries

Back in the saddle tonight!!!

Carla
