5000m best time for me today, 16.09.1 which is a 1.36.9 averge split. Before anyone starts saying prove it, I can, otherwise I would not have posted the time.

Rowed my first half marathon yesterday. Time = 1:24:52.3

I would have been a bit faster had I not stopped to fiddle with my heart rate monitor once and to change the channel on the TV. Excuses, excuses.

For anyone that's interested in comparing running and rowing times, my fastest running half was 1:26:40 in April of '05. Otherwise, I'm pretty consistent at about 1:30.

I'm gonna have to try rowing on the water some day...

M38, 6'3", 175 lbs
2K, 6:58.2

Nice PBs from lots of people.

Especially noted are Dougie and Mark - I will update the web page soon.

JBD, nice HM and nice comparison to the run HM pace. Post it in the runners thread as well, might generate some discussion.

Me 7:06.1 at WIRC improve by 0.9. Quite pleased to PB given the lack of erg training. Even more pleased to have got a bit of motivation back again. How long it will last , who knows

Friday afternoon I went to the gym again and the two model Ds were in use. So I jumped on a model C, set it up for 1K, did no warm up and pulled a 1:30 on the fifth or sixth stroke. New 2k PB: 6:57.7
The only weird thing is my spm was 26 (my previous pb was at a 30spm). I think these longer peices have just helped me pull harder @ a lower spm. Next 2k (saturday) I'll try to hold 1:44 @ 30spm and just sprint the last ~200.
