Does Rowing Create Bulk?
Weight Loss/ Weight Control
I did olympic weightlifting for a year or two in my mid 20's.

Before that and since then, I've been a distance runner, and like running the best.

If I remember correctly, your poundages were pretty good for any past or future distance runner.
Thanks.

I did pretty well, learned a lot, and survived it.

I did martial arts for 10 years, weightlifting my full adult hood, and all sorts of other fitness activities from swimming to various machines etc. I have always had good muscle tone and mass. But...

Never, until I recently started rowing did I have such a nice definition in my arms and shoulders! I was so excited to see this- and I have only had my rower for a short time!

I don't really think that many women can build much muscle bulk without the use of steroids, etc. But you can definitely increase your muscle mass, tone them up and work to define them.

It,s clean and yerk and yerk only. The firts 3 mentioned are powerlift exercices. Not much technic needed just pure raw power.
(I'm a rookie, remember).

Start at a damper setting of 3 (should produce a DF around 105) and then move up to 4 (DF around 115), then up to 5 (DF around 125). It does depend on the particular machine and that is why it is better to use DF rather than damper setting.

Hope this helps.
