I really thought the British were more articulate than what I've seen so far. Do you really call that bantor??? How sad. Now this is bantor gents....

A demon took a monkey to wife - the result by the Grace of God was the
English.

Your serve.

OK, I haven't done the maths on this, but I think I'm right. If you took the entire population of the USA, and stood them one on top of the other in the Marianas Trench, it'd be a good thing.

That's not bad Daren.

I seem to be torn here. On one hand you're a fellow Taffian. On the other hand, I am in a bantoring mood with the Brits in general. What to do....what to do? Oh the heck with it...

There's nothing wrong with the English that reincarnation won't cure.

Oooooo that felt like a good one!!!

Now that's what I was looking for. Good ones Niall and Phil.

I was going to respond with a comment about the Royals, but was immediately stopped by a colleague of mine. I guess bagging on the Royal family is a big no no.

I don't see anything wrong with including the Royals (just leave Diana out that's all! ). If we're going to have a dig at the American Royal Family (Bush) then we've got to accept the same back. And for once I think the Americans have more ammunition to use than us!
Why is it that Americans insist on formatting dates mm/dd/yy when everyone else (teh intelligent nations anyway) formats dates dd/mm/yy. Surely the dd/mm/yy format is a logical format (smallest to largest).

Discuss...

How many times in the history of Briton has a Royal been assassinated? And I'm not talking by a member of the court looking to get the Throne. None that I'm aware of. Why? Because there is respect. Whether you like them or not, there is to much respect to do something like that.

Now a president on the other hand. We go through them every four to eight years (16 in the case of FDR). So the respect just isn't there.

The point I'm trying to make is this, taking a dig at a US president isn't that big of a deal. Taking a dig at one of the Royals is.

Every time I get annoyed about something that has happened in America, a thought comes into my head….This is the country that made the A-Team, Hannibal, Mr T, Murdock, Face Man.

You can’t stay angry for you guys for long.

Sir Pirate

Royals are fair game. All of them. Diana included. Self-serving moo that she was. Not that I'd speak ill of the dead, but... OK, don't get me started on that woman.

Mind you, good for Harry having at that photographer the other day. Well in, my son.

Remember when dearof Ronnie Regan referred to Charles and Diana as Charles and David? That was comedy gold. What is it though; the most powerful nation on Earth and they seem to have a knack of hiring the biggest jokers to run the place.

Reminds me of a gag from the 80's. What do the USA and McDonalds have in common? They're both fronted by a clown called Ronald. Oh how we laughed, all those years ago. RIP, Ronnie.

US politicians seem to be a good source of entertainment though. Remember Dan Quayle adding an 'e' on to 'potato'? That was 12 years ago, but I still remember it. Quality politicians, those Yankees. I'm really glad they're in charge of the planet. Makes me feel safe in my bed.

=)

Well if that's the way y'all feel 'bout 'em. I have a good quote that I read recently.

The idea of Prince Charles conversing with vegetables is not quite so
amusing when you remember that he's had plenty of practice chatting to
members of his own family.
- Jaci Stephens

Another that seemed pretty good...

The terrifying power of the human sex drive is horrifically demonstrated by
the fact that someone is willing to keep fathering the English.

Dooh!!!
