Here are the results of this morning's 3K handicap race. I also have posted a replay of the second heat at:
3K Handicap Race Heat2

If any rower of the first heat can send me the stroke data for that race, I'll put up a replay of the first heat as well.

Overview of results:

Thanks for sorting out the race Cees, you did a grand job. Very popular distance the 3000m, that’s the best turn out we have had for a handicap event.

Great race, I was going fine till 2300m then I lost concentration and could not hold my stroke, my splits dropped to 1:55's for a while. I really started shouting at my self to pull it together. After a few hundred metres I managed to get back on the pace again. By this time Cees had come past me, it was too late to pull it back by then even with pulling 1:31's

It's a shame Paul got an error, I think we could have had a good battle at keeping Cees at bay.
Any body score a PB?

Thanks for the pain guys!!

Sir Pirate

A PB for me by 9 seconds. In the 5K races I couldn't maintain 1:43 pace, so for the 3K I decided 1:42 pace would be a reasonable target. It turned out to be quite easy, actually. But I would rather finish a race knowing I could have gone faster than going too fast and having to back off. Trying to catch David at the end worked out well, as it kept me focused.

Cees - thanks again for the race replay. I really enjoy the stroke graphs.
I don't know if the error was caused by having RowPro installed or not, but it was an error that I never saw before.

I was rowing 3K with 6 other rowers on e-row. I was the only boat showing on the screen after check in, my name was "Rower1" rather than "Canoeist" which showed when I checked in, and I was starting on the 2K mark rather than 3K. I got the countdown and started, but none of the other boats appeared. I then stopped the race.

After the race, the other rowers said that they saw me at the start, but then I became disconnected. (Probably when I stopped the race)

I did a 2K cooldown with the same bunch of rowers with no problems at all.

Paul Flack
