Post by [old] newrowud » December 14th, 2005, 9:44 am

Hi, I am a new concept 2 owner and really trying to get into everything. I enjoy rowing. I have worked my way up to between a half hour and 45 minutes.
My challenge is keeping up the interest and setting goals.
I am looking for any routines to follow, any good suggestions? I look foward to rowing and lossing weight and getting fit.
Thanks for your help.

Keep track of your workouts with the c2 online log and watch your times decrease.

Row some of the standard distances and see where you fall in the rankings. Set a goal, such as "I'll get in the top 50% of each distance in my age group"

Listen to music while rowing.

These are some of the things that have worked for me.
Hello people!
I thought RPRG was 7th in the team rankings. I looked today and it seems we have fallen well off the pace. What happened? Has Mr. Adams been a member of Taff Attack all along? How does one consistently row that much every single day?! That is truly amazing. I have a hard time rowing 10k/day more than a few times a week! I really want to be able to row a full marathon before my 50th birthday next July. I have done a few half-marathons and they were tough enough. I'll keep trying!
Happy Holidays

You can use the slides with pretty much any rowing machine on earth. This is a quite a broad statement I realize. In my opinion if you have a rowing machine with a moving seat you can rigg up the slides to support any moving seat rower.
I hope this helps.
XENO
