I noticed something that may or may not be relevant to the new PM3 utility and wanted to ask if the following makes sense.

I did a binary (*.lcb) backup of the current logcard, which is showing 97% full. I then did a restore to a new, blank card (just 'cuz I could ). The new card checked out with the same data but only 85% full. The effect appears to be similar to defragging a hard drive? Is this result consistent with C2 expectations, or does it indicate some kind of data glitch? (If so, I haven't identified the glitch.)

Many thanks...
John

I have read somewhere there is a way to pack (?) the logcard, so it looks like this is a way to do it.

Yes, this is the expected result. when workouts are "deleted" from the logcard via the PM3 the records are marked as "deleted" but physically they still occupy memory. The logcard utility removes all workouts marked as "deleted" and packs the logcard memory before rewriting the logcard.

Mark
