It so happens that using my Model D seems to have some of the neighbors up in a huff since the sliding of the rowing and subsequent vibration is going right through the feet of the rower and into the floor. This is bad since it's my downstairs neighbors who are complaining.

The office people suggested putting some kind of padding under the feet of the rower and I'm wondering if anyone else has had to do this and what kind of results they may have gotten. I was thinking of picking up a cheap yoga mat and cutting it to fit the feet.

Thanks!

Hello,
You might try 2'x2' interlocking foam mats (approx. 1 inch thick) -- one under each foot, front and back. I have found them at Home Depot for $12 per pack of four. You can usually find them in grey or bright multi-colors for kids' play areas. I have used mine under exercise equipment to protect the carpeting and to dampen the sounds.

They work well. Don't waste your money on actual exercise equipment mats.

Best to you,
tlc

I actually found the pads you were referring to at Toys R Us. I tried Home Depot and the person there said they stopped working with the particular vendor that supplied them.

Can't wait to try it out tomorrow! Thanks for the suggestion!
