Today 3500m at 1:53.4.

A distinct lack of free time leaves me little time to train (Holiday Challenge, no way), but when I do, I go 95% all out. My meters are down from a typical 200k to just 65k/month (Three 5ks per week for the most part). However, my average rowing pace (powerwise) is up 40% (from 2:10, now at 1:56). My body seems to like this program. In late November my rowing was mess after not training much and then dealing with a sinus infection. A 1:58 pace would send my HR soaring to 186 in 20 minutes (max is 190). Now just 4 weeks later, my HR response to a 1:54 pace is just 180. This is nearly as good as I've ever seen it. My response to 2k pace is the best I've ever seen. Very Interesting. I can't wait for some time to free up to pack some meters around this quality-only rowing.

The last day of team Oarsome's 1k challenge,soI had to get a score on the board.

got to the gym and did a 4k warm up then a 1k which included 3 give ups where I saw 2.00 on the monitor, but still managed to do a 3.17.6. So I hope I've beatenone or 2 at least, still 5.3 sec's off a pb.
Then 20 mins stepper at 250 watts, then 1 hour bike followed by another crack at the 1k....

I tried to do it on min drag 80 , got to 1.35's easy enough but had to rate at 40 to keep it there, packed that in after 300m, tried again on 133 d/f but blew with 400m to go. Oh well bring on the 30 mins

82.4k today, oh much joy. I've decided that if I don't make lwt I wont be going to Boston.
