For those who have incorporated two workouts in one day into your training, how do you arrange it?

space them at least 6 hours a part. 8 is even better.

Make sure you are getting a minimum of 1/3 of your daily caloric intake in between your workouts.

Getting your full complement of sleep is huge as well. If you're doing 2x/day taking 2 days off per week is advisable.

D

Mon-Thurs I normally run at lunch-time and row in the evening (18:30). Occasionally if I have meetings planned over lunch I go to the gym at 06:30 and put an hour in then I return at 18:30 again.

Note that I generally cross train which does give me some respite. I am not sure I could row twice a day and not suffer from injury.

My first workout would be around 5 am (an hour after breakfast), and my second workout would be around 8 pm (90 minutes after dinner). It's not something I can maintain for too many consecutive days, but I've done it successfully for several days in a row before taking a day off.
