How To Row A 2k

so how should i row a 2k when my average split is 2:05 when going easy<br /><br />5'10, 150 lb's<br /><br />and by that i mean stm and split i should go for<br /><br />and info you need to know to help me just ask

Hiya<br /><br />Not much to go on there, and I guess one would be able to make a better estimate if you knew what, say, your "as hard I can go without puking" 500m pace was. If 2:05 were your pace that you could easily maintain for, say, 10k, with your heart rate not much above 150 (or 75% of your max, where max = 220 - age), then you would normally expect to be able to do 2k at a pace about 12 seconds faster - for me, the difference is about 10 seconds when I am going all out on the 10k (1:41 for the 2k, 1:51 for the 10k), but my "gentle" 10k pace is 1:59. <br /><br />On the stm front, I personally go at around 31-3 for a hard row of that distance. <br /><br />Finally, I have been told time and again to do it in a way that saves energy for the last 500m. <br /><br />What is the motivation?
