We just got our rower the end of October and I've noticed that I let the handle drop down some as I return it. The pull seems to feel straight and as I return it, I tend to let it drop down some after it passes over my knees. If I really concentrate on it, I can let it go straight back but if I don't think about it very much, I notice I let it drop. I'm wondering if this affects my rowing at all or not. I'm 61 and started rowing more for the exercise and to try to get in shape than anything else. I don't plan to compete at all. Any feedback on this would be appreciated. Loonylady

Congratulations on getting your rower.

I do the same thing with the handle.

Sometimes it drops down a bit and sometimes I focus on having it go straight back.

When doing a time trial or repeats then I'm more diligent about keeping it straight, but mostly I just like it to be consistent in a good position and not waste any energy.
