Is there a way to deactivate this aspect of my user name information when I post?

Half-Marathon Poster

Group: Members
Posts: 242
Member No.: 79

I am not sure how to explain why I would want it deactivated, but I thought like things such as where a person is from does not have to be filled out and placed with a persons profile then perhaps the same is applicable in the post count but I was not sure how to do so or if it was even possible.

All this information isn't strictly personal, but is instead intended to establish some kind of reputation for each poster (e.g. all else being equal you can assume that someone making their first post may not be as knowledgeable as someone making their 100th post). I suspect that's why it's not optional information, but I'm not sure.

Cheers, Paul

I don't understand why they don't.

PS Paul congrats on the Nonathlon. I do speak to Cran about it on the UK forum and I recommend it to all newbies.

What are the numbers that define a 500, 2K HM poster. Are they documented anywhere? I think it is a good idea and is useful as a guideline when members make a post.

John
