Here I am. 15 years old, 6 foot, and 165lbs. My best 2k to date is 7:07, but I think I can currently get under 7:05 cause I can hold 1:45 for 1500m. May do one very soon.

Training

Post by [old] bmoore » July 1st, 2005, 2:16 pm

I'm 39 and finally decided to get in shape before I turn 40 in September.

Rowing and a good diet have totally changed my body. On April 19, I weighed 242, today I'm at 211 with 12.5% bodyfat.

I've been rowing since 1998, but it took me until January of this year to hit 1 million meters. (My wife's purchase of a Precor Elliptical trainer put the Concept 2 in the closet for almost 3 years.) Since June 6th, I've been doing the Wolverine Plan (6-7 workouts a week), and have felt great.

I'm a 5th generation Californian that moved to Massachusetts in September to start a business. Rowing has been a blessing. I'm married with 3 kids, Taylor (3 & a girl), Jackson (2), Harrison (9 months), and one more due in December (this will be the last one).

I'll start weight training in August after our vacation travels.

Now that I live in Boston, I'll be headed to the Crash Bs, with the goal of breaking 7 minutes. I haven't done a 2k for time this year, but I did a 7:18 the one time I tried it in 1999. We'll see where the training takes me.

Regards,
