Well, I'm in my sophomore year in High School and I have been doing crew for a while now. I started preseason in January and I have the worst time with the Erg. We have erg tests every Friday and it is a 2000 meter one and I just am horrible at it. First the first 500 meters I can keep a 2:10 split, but after that I just pull and pull but I just don't pull anymore. Any tips on this? And btw, I'm a lot better on a boat because I can just pull for hours at full pressure without getting as exhausted as I do on the erg. It' just weird. Thanks for any help =]

maybe theres a technique issue? If theres a fault in your technique and your not using your muscles to their full ability you might be losing a lot of power. Good luck.

Eddie

some people are just like that they is a girl in my club that is the same. she really struggles on the ergs but in a boat she is much better in all respects power, stroke rate and techinque.
