I checked out the McAfee website as it shows up a a (the) ByteVerify trojan. It says that if your Microsoft security updates are up to date the thing can't activate and you are immune. It also says that your virus scanner wil still find it because it can see the code that would run on your machine.

My scanner found two instances of the trojan and deleted them

Make sure your Microsoft security updates are up to date

hope it helps

Brendin

Do you have any information on what it will do to a Macintosh?

If you are running Os X, there are no known viruses, worms, trojan horses, spyware or other malware in existence in the wild. So it is not really a concern currently.
