<br /> </td></tr></table><br /><br /><br />I would use a higher rate, i mean its just 100m, my coach would say just wail on it. Just don't hurt yourself in the process. 100ms may be fun, but it really does nothing for you, its just a small measure of strength and power.

45 - 50spm and the DF at max. There are 2 dangers tho, falling off your seat and 'blowing' your back.<br /><br />Done a few but never again

45-50?!!! wow, i was just getting to 40, dont even think i can get to 50! i really dont think im gunna throw out my back. although i did come close to falling off my seat

Last year I have done a 100m at 62 SPM, 16,4 seconds. Don't go for fullstroke, I think I used quarter slides for most of the time.

Ben the first stoke for me is about a 3/4 drive and the second is about half, and the rest are pretty much all arms.<br /><br />Would not really call them strokes, and it is nothing resembling rowing.<br /><br />Most comps here in NZ include either a 300m or a 100m <a href="http://www.nzira.org/upcoming.shtml" target="_blank">have a look at this</a><br /><br />George

Yeah when i'm going for a 100m piece it's mainly as a fun thing to do with mates before or after a water session on the ergos at the boat shed. You'll find you can do a fair few of them in moderate succession seeing as how its only using your ATP reserves, and they regenerate very quickly. I like them lol. My tactic is 3/4 slide start, 1/2 slide, 3/4 slide, full. then keep rowing full til the end. Like it's been said, just go for it lol. my time is 16.1. I find i hit about 45 spm at the start, then i don't even bother looking. 10 of the hardest strokes i can possibly do.
