Great news, hosers!

Not only are we flying across Northern Ontario, but Debra Berry from Peterboro, Ontario has also joined the Eh!Team. Please give her a warm hoser welcome, and if someone could direct her into the forum thread, that would be appreciated.

We just passed through White River, Ontario. A little known piece of trivia is that this is the home town of Winnie the Pooh.

Keep on rowin', hosers.

Jim

I've just earned my sweatshirt (210.5k since Thursday) . 52.5k today and I haven't blown a fuse yet, althought the breaker box is a bit overloaded! . I'm looking forward to that polar bear swim once we reach the Atlantic. I think Mark volunteered to jump in first .

I'm trying for the kid's holiday challenge so that I can get a sweatshirt. I just did 1k today because I had 5 speed skating races earlier. See ya. Zeb.

Good rowin' everyone.

We went flying past Wawa, Ontario today.
I hope we didn't get the goose honking too much.

He would be upset if Huskey the Muskie and Max the Moose had made it, but he didn't.

Keep on rowin', hosers.

Jim

Thanks Francois! I'm not sure why I'm doing this. I guess it's the challenge to see how far I can go and if I can stay healthy (and maybe have a life besides? ) Plus I think someone from Canada should be somewhere near the top (without getting too ridiculous .) We'll see, my body is stressed somewhat now, so I don't know about a month of this, it's going to be day by day. As the last Prime Minister would say "For sures on that!" The hard part is finding the time. On work days, I start rowing at 6:00. It's funny how going at a 2:25 pace at that time of day feels almost like race pace Good luck everyone with the Challenge. I did it once before back in 2003 (that is the only other time I rowed regularly besides this year) and getting the 200k was a great accomplishment. John.

Only 5 laborious K for me today (29th) - my chest cold is back with a vengeance. Serves me right I suppose; I've been bragging to my wife that I haven't been sick ever since I started exercising regularly.

I wanted to work up a sweat without working too hard so I put my long-johns on, work pants, turtle-neck and sweatshirt. All I needed to make my get-up complete was a Canadian Tire toque and a sizzling pan of back bacon.

Congrats on your fine work John, that's a pile of kliks!

I'd be happy to take the first dip in the Atlantic John, but I know fer shur that you're going to beat me there!

Back bacon's supposed to be good for cold's, isn't it? (even better when cooked in a beer batter !) You'll still get the chance to jump in the Atlantic first Mark. We're a team, so we'll all be getting there at the exact same time . Of course, we probably should give Francois the first chance to get in since he's the speedy swimmer guy . I used to be a lifeguard, so maybe I can just stay on shore and make sure everyone is ok? I had a new pb in distance today, 65.5k. Happy rowing everyone! John.
