Getting back into training after Xmas. Did 4x10' Level 4 188/188/188/188 sequence on Monday. 8x500m yesterday at 1:41 avg. Still got my cold so I am finding the intervals rather hard going at the moment. Tried a 1k today but died after 500m, paddled easy for a while and then sprinted the last 300m. Fast bits were about 1:37 pace. Time is running out and I will be travelling tomorrow and Friday so I will attempt a 1k tomorrow morning.

well I am sporting the latest colour of plaster cast fluroscent pink....matches my eyes...!!!!! feeling better now the doc made my decision for me re going to Aus ...basically we aint going.......dvt's being the worry cos I won't be able to move about very much and they dont carry the equipment if something was to happen to get my plaster off.

Got to tell the rellys yet not looking forward to that..I am hoping tho just to postpone it til the end of feb ..beginning of March dr reckons that if I am good an dont put any weight on it I won't need a pin in my ankle to my leg bone so plaster should be off in 6 weeks .... about Manchester Grand Prix time ....do I enter and just row through for the points for the series????

Ste is being very good he must be gutted.. I am trying to do things on my own and am getting quite good on my crutches and going up and down stairs so not to rely too heavily on him.....

Right folks may I take this opportunity to wish all my Oarsome mates all the best for the coming new year you have been brilliant this past year and such good fun.

Love Auntie Carole aka as The Pink Lady...xxxxx
