I have a model B, but in mint condition better than most C's and D's, so I'm keeping it.

Keep an eye on Ebay and you will find a few of them listed there.

nicktrusty - are you in texas? my model b is fitted with floor rollers, flex foot pads, pm3 monitor, and new seat bearings; but it would be nice to trade up to a quieter machine.

just out of curiosity, why are you particularly looking for a model b?

shu
There are a number of B's, C's, and D's for sale on the www.row2k.com website:

http://www.row2k.com/classifieds/classifieds.pl

If this link doesn't work, go to the www.row2k.com website, click on the classifieds on the upper left corner of the home page.

Good luck with your search.

You're not going to save much by getting a model B.

The ones I've seen on Ebay have been quite torn up, yet sell for $325-400 or so.

That's with the old seat and old monitor.

Really though you want the newer design seat, and pm2 or pm2+ monitor, which together might cost around $150, and bring you up to the price of a model C.

I got a close to mint condition model C from Ebay last fall for $550 plus $41 shipping.

However, I consider my model B to also be worth around $550 or so. It is in mint condition, with the new seat, pm2+ monitor, monitor arm, rubber speed damper, rubber cover for fan housing, model C sprockets, and the railing (as per c2) is more level than the C, thus more in line with the axle, more comfortable to row on (much less up and down movement), and probably a slightly bit faster.

Because of machine newness and condition, and all you'd need to do for bringing up the quality of the B, you're probably generally better off just getting a model C to begin with.

Also I've found most of the problem with the C and D line of the railing with the axle can be alleviated by just raising the foot plates. That doesn't get rid of the dizzy up and down movement, but it does improve leverage quite a bit.
