Do any of these clubs exist in Australia, or the SE Asia region? I'm looking to join one (I don't have too many miles, yet) but am slowly building them up.

check out Supercanoa
It is a worldwide on-line rowing club. It hosts such events as Le Tour, On-line Indoor Rowing Championships, Christmas Relay Challenge and the occasional 6k.

jeeze, starting our own club my be a bit of an ask at this stage... but I did manage to get the evaluation copy of ProRow going last night (well nearly). The screen is very slow and a pop-up box told me how to fix it (change from 2 screens per second to 15) but I didn't pay much attention and now can't work out how to do it. Can anyone help?

May I urge you to seriously consider the mighty SUB-7 IRC which, though mainly comprised of whinging poms, has recently welcomed its first septic tanks and could certainly embrace an ocker or two. (Though not physically, you understand.)
The club Web site is located here, and the most active forum frequented by the members is here.
As the blurb says: "Promoting acheivement at all levels, through a supportive community." And it really is.

Thanks for the information Bgood - I will try it out tonight.

Stretch: come on, I'm a lonely guy just needing to be held! I've had quick glance at the Sub7 sight and you might just see an Ocker there in the not too distant future!

Nice website Stretch!

You have a few big dudes in your group (110Kgs) that might find a sub7 2K to easy. They should aim for the 5 x 2K @ sub7 (10K under 35 minutes).

Paul Flack

The 7 min 2K is a great goal for most people. Good luck going under! I hope your club motivates many others to do the same.

Cheers,

Paul Flack
