I'll be with you all in spirit. Alas, the one-two punch of a flu followed by bronchitis will leave me as a last-minute withdrawal this weekend. All the best to those who are racing!

Hi Mark,

I was really sad to hear that. Keep your head up.

I am so thankful for Supercanoa, e-row internet racing, and Concept 2 On-line Ranking for that very reason. My thinking on it is that my effort would be for not if all my training came down to just one or two racesthat I had to physically go to in the year.

Just to mention, this past Thursday night, Cees, Patrick, and I did a 1000 meter piece on e-row internet racing. The piece was kind of a "check-and-see" type piece in light of all three of us have erg races this weekend. It was kind of fun in the sense that it was relatively close and relatively short. Afterwards, we did a 5k which we all did around 20 to 24 spm and finished about the same time. It had been a while since I had done something on erow with others. It was rejuvinating. Again, it is really nice have something like erow.

Later,
Thomas

Hi Mark,

I wondered what happend when I saw that your name had disappeared from the heat sheet.

Lets both try for next year. The Seattle Center venue worked out very well. Except for the baking pizza and bread smells coming from the nearby food outlets.

The 'random' time start was interesting. Not so many folks trying to jump the gun, although I did see one or two people sort of try.

Take care, sorry to have missed meeting you,

grams
