Would you support a calender of women erg rowers in lingerie who are raising money for a cause?

If not, what would you support? I think of the women from the movie Calender Girls who had raised money for cancer by having their yearly local calender comprise of their members photographed modestly naked doing some sort of every day work around the house or other activity.

Great idea!

Why limit it to just women indoor rowers though? Why not include men aswell (may be not in lingerie though ). This would have the potential for widening the audience and bringing in more money.

Alternatively, you could have a women's calendar and a men's calendar.

I'd support a men's calendar even more.

Those in the UK may be interested to know that there's a documentary on Channel 4 at 21:00 on 29/12/04 about the British phenomena of Nudist Calendars (made famous by the film Calendar Girls). From what I've read there's some lessons to be learnt from the documentary as well as admiring the efforts and drive of thos eonvolved.

That is great about that TV show; timing is perfect.

They might be able to get the women who compete on the ergometer like from the BIRC or from the British Grand Prix. The women could have their accomplishments listed, how they train, what their goals are, where they are at with their goals, what a typical week of training consists of, their times for 2k and other distances, favorite workout, most hated workout, type of diet (Zone, Atkins, South Beach, none, etc), their interests, etc.

I would think what would work would be photographs of the women in lingerie doing rowing related activities such as rowing on the ergometer, lifting weights, using a computer with an ergometer attached, rowing in a single or other type boat, carrying the boat to the dock, running with oars to the boat, registering for an ergometer race, that general idea as opposed to just posing. Again, the idea from the movie Calendar Girls.

And if they wanted, they could just abandon the lingerie idea and just do the calendar in the nude.

Good job Steve.

Of the three, the Ashland Rowing Club was what I had in mind. It's photographs of women mainly rowing but with the twist that they are nude. They are not posing and are photographed in a natural state.

It appears that all three are trying to raise money for their club rowing programs where as more people would be more willing to purchase the calendar of Carole and Crew since they are raising money for a little boy who has cancer.
