For those of you who like to race but do not like to travel, Supercanoa has scheduled a series of sprints for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. http://www.supercanoa.de/Schedule/start ... r>
Plug in and pull!

Paul Flack

So far, Canoa (Marilyn) and Canoeist (Me) are the only ones to enter the sprints. Where are all the "real" rowers? Wouldn't it be sad if the kayakers and canoers dominated a rowing race?

There are plenty of lanes open!

Plug in and pull!

Paul Flack

I am the currently at the top of the leaderboard.

But, I am also at the bottom.

I was the only one to turn up for the first heat. I pulled a time of 1:26.3. Not my best, but not bad for 8 in the morning before breakfast.

There are still plenty of lanes available.

Good luck!

Paul Flack

Sprint weekend is over for me. I got up at 5 this morning to do the sprint of the day (1.5K) with Marilyn. Then there was a 1K demo with Andreas at 2 in the afternoon. I was allowed to use slides, and went three seconds faster than the previous day, but Andreas turned in a time under 3 min to soundly beat me. I finished the day at 11 pm with another 1K demo fundraser with Paul (Red Deer) in a bar in Seattle. I was hopeing for an easy race as a demo, but Cees showed up and pushed me to the end piping me by 0.1 sec. To finish things off, we did a 250m thrash. My average was 1:23.7, but that wasn't good enough to win. I wanted to win something, so I suggested a marathon to finish the day. But there were no takers.

Cheers,

Paul Flack
