Roy - I bet most of those are you checking back to see the progress on the 2500m bar.

Xav

Most of us return to check to see how the poll is progressing, so lots of views by the same people?

The 2500 is too close to the 2000 to make much of a difference. If you're going to race different distances they should be at enough of a distance diferential to make it different. 5K and up. The up likely isn't practical so that leaves the 5K.

Interesting results so far. Pity there was no 100m option in the poll. We have a 100m event at every comp in NZ and its great way to end the day. Everyone has a go, really fast event to run, (ie all races between 14 to 20 seconds or so). Exciting and competitive with the main challenge being staying on the seat. Cheers

Sadly, many forumites in the past, have not been keen on the 100m as they fear injury!

I've seen many fall off, but to my knowledge no serious incurable injuries.... yet.....

OG New Zealand too.

If I'd had a second vote I'd have voted for the 5k.

Where are all the people that used to be on the us site, do they not like this format?

At the event I organised in April this year, we had a 1 min challenge; the idea is to see how far you can row in 1 minute. Really suited the big power houses.

I can't remember the exact winning distance but I am sure it was around 397m which was an average split of 1:15.4. I will find the exact distance and report back later. Anyway, that was done by Rob smith of the UK (MAD Team).

We have other comps that do this too.

Sir Pirate
