Well, I finally completed the "end of September" 20' @ 28 spm. It's two days late and I didn't really gain much over August, but it was my first real erg piece in over two weeks. I got in 4549 meters, an increase of only 14 meters over August, but it beats falling behind. I felt like a piece of overcooked spaghetti at the end, but at least I was able to get up and walk around without flopping around on the floor as I have seen some of the young folks do. My initial intention was to work it into a delayed Saturday workout - 5' warmup, 10' @ 18 spm, then the 20' @ 28 spm, and then finish off with the last 3 X 10' @ 20, 18 and 22 spm. The warmup and a moderate first 10' @ 18 went O.K., but after doing the 20' piece, there was absolutely no motivation to go on with the last three pieces. I just did my usual 5' @ 12 spm cool down and let it go at that.

I had to sneak it in while my beloved spouse was off on a trip to town. Otherwise I would have gotten a lot of static about going back to exercise too soon without an O.K. from a physician. I just hope that I don't have a relapse tonight or she might catch on and I will catch h*** for being too impatient about resuming the program.

regards,

Bob S.

Thanks for the help regarding the PM3 verification code. I have the code but am not quite sure what to do with it now. I know I must really sound like an idiot...

Anyway:

20' @ 26 spm

1:56.3/500m = 5155 meters

verification code: A77E-9C75-5CC3-8E87

I definitely went out a bit conservatively, but I was nervous about going out too hard for a solo erg test. Learned that I probably should have pushed the sprint a little bit earlier than I did... maybe at like 4 minutes to go rather than 2:30.

Best,
Libby
When you do, you should see a box at the bottom of the screen asking for a Verification Code. Enter the code as above, omitting the dashes. You should get back a message saying something like 'result verified' and it should show in your Log as IND_V_.
Jim,
I missed the end of September due to a two week stomach flue but I am getting back into it and hope a 20 min this week will count. I did lose a few pounds, which I was hoping to do this fall but in the normal way. More later, good piece by the way.
Peter D

I wasn't sure if we were supposed to post it here, or just in our logbook...

But now I see everyone was posting in here... so:

on 9/30/2005

I did 4,946M at 28 SPM for the September 20 minute piece.

It was pretty horrible for me, but I pulled it out through the middle though I was way above my goal, and finished not too far off from what I wanted. I hope to break 5,000 next time, or thereabouts.
