High Balls (aside from the alcoholic drink) are boulder problems that are high enough to cause serious injury but probably not death should a fall occur.

-bp

QUOTE(Sleepy_Floyd @ Sep 26 2005, 11:26 AM)

QUOTE(c2bill @ Sep 26 2005, 11:37 AM)

[attachmentid=81]rock climbing (bouldering and high ball solo's specifically)

-bp

(my local climbing area - 5 minutes from my house - looking into my little valley below)

what's High Ball Soloing? sounds like a drinking game too me.

awesome view, I wish I lived 5 minutes from a view like that.

SF

Bravissimo!

A Ducatista riding a Triumph? Haven't you seen Loris Capirossi and Carlos Checa this weekend???
Strange, strange...

Regarding me: Gimme back my ol' XT 600 (kickstarter version), and all you'll see will be my stern (on or off road! ). I've also owned: Gilera 50 enduro, Kawasaki KZ 400 '77, Honda Africa Twin 750 and actually Honda XBR 500 '89 (well, this really is my wife's bike ).
I love most European bikes, and when I'm grown up I suppose I will end up with a "Gummikuh" (rubbercow or BMW).
Meanwhile, I'm riding an old Alpinestar mountainbike: it doesen't hurt as much when you fall off, and it's cheaper, so I have some money left to spend on my kids (Eric 9, Robin 6 and Pol 4). This year Eric is starting canoeing and he's looking forward to cox for our CEU-rem master team. He ist the artist who copied the drawing on my profile from a calendar pic about 5 years ago.

Until end of november, we will be preparing the San Sebastian marathon, so actually I run quite a lot.
Ah, and I forgot: sometimes I kinda like rowing on the water (mainly 2- with Polaco, but also 1x, 4-, 8+, and sometimes 2x with my wife Berta)
Erging is some kind of strange (and painful) side effect I will never really get used to , but which I'm not able to leave... (someone knows the feeling??)

BTW: A friend just posted this link to me:

http://www.motorcycledaily.com/26septem ... htm

Looks like Triumph are introducing a typical retro streetbike, but which can also be used off roading? I What on earth is this bike for, Mr. Triumphant? I think it'll be as uncomfy to ride on both roads and off road as it looks

I'm glad I picked a motorbike from a company with style

My passion is snowmobiling!! I live in New England and ride the snowmobile trails in Maine and New Hampshire. It's a great sport. Erging keeps your hands and arms in great shape for holding on when you are ripping down a trail at 50 or 60 mph!! Of course, I can only snowmobile about 3 months a year. So, there's lots of time to train.
