It only takes 60 days for the body to clear the mercury from the system anyway.

As for how much tuna you can eat, tuna steaks and such are high in mercury, and should be consumed no more than 2 times a week, and if you are pregnant you shouldnt eat it at all.

Tinned tuna however, has no such guidelines or limit on intake, as it is much lower in mercury.

Unimaginative pedestrian?

Geesh what haven't you been reading. Mercury poisoning is ubiquitous in modern society. It is very unlikely that you could find anyone who has not been exposed to this toxin.

Mercury is soon cleared from the urine and the blood and doesn't show up in hair samples BECAUSE IT IS TAKEN UP BY THE CENTRAL NERVOUS SYSTEM and eventually stored in the brain -- where it is extremely difficult to remove.

The sooner mercury is chelated from the body, the greater the chances of success, i.e, by the age of 2 to 5. After age 18, mercury chelation is very slow and the chances of having it removed from the central nervous system are remote. This is all the more reason to avoid ingestion of new mercury, and to chelate it from the body as soon as possible, before additional amounts are taken up by the brain.

Without chelation, mercury does NOT leave the body easily, but rather bonds with the tissues and organs.

MERCURY IS EXTREMELY TOXIC!!!

Tuna in metal cans is just as high or higher in mercury as tuna that is not in metal cans.

Why would you eat any food that contains mercury????

There is NO REASON to do so.

Don't know why everyone is off on a tangent about fish/seafood, she said she doesn't eat it because she doesn't like the taste.

I am a carnivore for moral reasons...and I know enough about dairy production to wonder why moral vegetarians do dairy at all? Seems morally inconsistent.

There is a high death rate of the calves who are taken from their mums so the farmers can take the milk the calf should be having.

My sister and her husband built up their beef cattle farm with calves they bought from dairy farmers. (They had an unusually low death rate because of their husbandry methods.)

Go ahead...have your dairy...and think of the poor, starving, dying calf whose milk you're stealing.

Use gainer (carbs+protein) or a protein supplement. Cytosport and EAS make good stuff.
