I think rowing during pregnancy is a great idea, and wish i had a rowing machine when I was pregnant with my children. I exercised thoughout both pregnancys, a combination of road biking, hiking and light weight lifting, and situps. I rode my bike 25 miles in my 38th week with my first child. Near the end of my second pregnacy I went hiking before my ob appt. The gals told me that since I was so close to term, I should consider going for a walk because it might start my labor. I told them I had already hiked 7 miles that morning and asked them how much further they thought I should go! Just keep slow, steady, comfortable. Relaxed, aerobic. Don't overheat and keep plenty of oxygen available to the baby by staying aerobic. If it hurts, don't do it. The pregnany won't last forever, and your muscles will readily go back to training hard after the pregnancy when the time is right. Staying in shape will help you feel better during the pregnancy and help you recover more rapidly from labor. Good luck, let us know how you are doing and enjoy your pregnancy and the baby!

Pam
