Good For YOU! How do you feel?

I am about 35 K short of my goal. (I will probably make my goal on Feb. 3--I was that way in school too--I understood the stuff the week AFTER the exam.)

I am going to keep going in February. Glad to hear the weight loss challenge will continue. Perhaps we should call it the "health" challenge.

The more we row the healthier we are!

Susan

I am feeling pretty good. at the beginning of the month I had a depressing step on the scale at the dr. office that really set me back. but then I realized that while the scale said I hadnt lost anything suring the holiday challenge I FELT better and I had certainly lost inches. the challenge helped me stick with it and now not only am I seeing a loss of inches but also a change in the scale numbers and I am feeling awesome.

I am going to keep going into February as I am closing in on 300k lifetime meters and want to hit a million by the end of the summer!

Once you hit that "Wow, I feel good" phase, and you start seeing the results, it's a lot easier to keep up the momentum you've started. That's the one of the biggest hurdles, imho.

I've liked that effect so much, that it's kept me going for over a year now. And when I feel like being a weenie and not wanting to row--the thought of losing any of the ground that I've worked so hard for--well, that gets me back on that rower. Even if it's only for ten minutes!

If you ever feel like being a weenie, just get on the forum here, and we'll all get ya going again!

And, NICE JOB exceeding that JVTC goal of yours, too! Here's a wing slap on the back for ya!

--Jen in WI

ok strange thing. I decided to just row an easy 30 minutes tonight so I ended with an odd number of meters. I just logged my meters and for the January challenge--my final meters for the month are 166,666 how strange is THAT??!!!!!!

With my ADD and tendency towards major procrastination, I'm usually in the same boat. That, or I do a big crunch at the end, right up to the deadline...like I did with the JVTC. I think I did most of my meters in the last 4 days, and now my lil' ol' wings are tired!

I'm almost glad there's not a big challenge in February, though. I think a little break from the "stress" is in order. This way, I can row for the simple enjoyment of rowing, and I won't have to feel guilty using another piece of exercise equipment. I tend to obsess and want to put all my effort into the rower when there's a challenge going on.

So February is going to be a "balance and moderation" month (with all that chocolate around--yeah, right!) where my exercise is concerned. At least until the Valentine's Day Challenge....

You did all right with the JVTC, Susan, nice job!!

--Jen
