Hi everyone!

First of all, thanks for an excellent forum, that I have had much benifit from, when learning to erg.

I bought my C2 a little over a year ago, but didn´t use it to much in the beginning. Now however, I have started using af training program (C2 interactive program) in hope of improving my 2K times (shouldn´t be that difficult).

I have just bought, and begun using, the RowPro software (version 2.0), and my question is this:
Is the training programs in RowPro worth while, does anyone here have any experience using them? And if so, would it make sense for me to switch training program from the C2 Interactive, to the RowPro programs?

Thanks in advance

Best regards, Michael

Michael -

I have been using RowPro since last summer, and used their training programs for about 6 months. It is simple to use and easy to follow. In early fall, I started using the Wolverine Plan. My results, in terms of improved times, has been considerably better. You can find a thread in the forum on this Plan, along with the Pete Plan.

I love RowPro. There is a program that I found in the forum that will generate Wolverine Plan workouts for RowPro. I apologize for not giving proper credit to the author as this program is great. It vastly simplifies everything for me - I just entered my 2k time and the program gave me a wide range of L1, L2, L3, and L4 workouts in the Custom Row Studio. The intervals show up on my RowPro screen with the proper pace target and SPM goal.

Hope this helps.

Dave G

That program sounds like exactly what I need!

Best regards
Michael
Unfortunately not. I may have gotten it from the UK site, as it is a 'programme' generator. Please post it if you can find it.

This year I set an age group record in the half marathon and I'm at or near the top for all of the longer distances in the rankings. The two weeks of building and then one week to mini-taper and test works really well for me and I seem to continue to improve even after 3 years of rowing. At my age my performance should decrease every year not decrease. So don't be so quick to write off the RP training plans.

Frank

I have considered the RowPro training plans since it does look like it would be kind of a fun way to train with charts and what not but I don't know if it is effective for 2k.
