Pm3 Shutdown On Usb Plug In

After downloading RowPro v1.6 and the v067 firmware 'downgrade' to make the PM3 compatible I connected the USB cable. The PM3 then 'switched off'. Nothing on the screen, no control at all. It took a battery pull and hard reset to bring it back. Have I missed something? The USB connection works fine with other devices and the Laptop doesn't even detect the PM3 at all (obviously powered down on the cable connection). Another UK user had a similar problem and C2 replaced the unit. Not sure what the fault was or if this cured it... Any help gratefully received before I call C2.

Make sure the USB symbol is "facing down" towards the floor when insering the cable.

Brian. I take my hat off to you Sir. I've only been in IT for 24 years and plugged in more USB cables than I care to think and I'm convinced I tried it all ways becuase I am aware of the 'not too perfect' keyway of the USB plug. Carefully facing the USB sign towards the floor as suggested and Bingo... Thanks for your time on this.. Only thing to sort now is XP crashing on Rowpro shutdown... Al.
