<br />I just received my rower last week. I have started rowing and have a lot to learn. One thing I am noticing is that my stomach is in the way...I am losing weight. But as I said my gut is in the way to perform really good technique...which of course affects my breathing. I am rowing 5000 meters between 20-23 minutes. Do I just keep doing this until my stomach shrinks and improve my technique as I go and just "gut" it out for the time being?

If you look around you can find more treads about weightloss and erging. 20/23 min is not bad for beginner. try to increase the distance and keep the pace at this level.
