Don't delete lifetime meters

Post by tbartman » January 2nd, 2007, 10:59 am

I don't know if this is a feature request, or if I'm doing something wrong:

My logcard was getting full, so I went in and deleted my old workouts to make room to record more. When I did this, it took the meters out of my lifetime meters total on the screen. Of course, I went back and updated the lifetime meters to match my own log, but maybe when you go to delete a workout, it could come up with a little screen asking you:

- Keep meters in lifetime total
- Remove meters in lifetime total

That way, if an entry is truly erroneous, you can kill it, or if you just want to eliminate that workout you can keep the correct meter total.

I have 2 or 3 full cards at this point. Each one has a "lifetime meters" value on it. From my point of view, lifetime refers to the lifetime of the card. My own personal lifetime meters are the meters recorded in my C2 logbook on line. Since I have entered only the records that I have from 2003 on, I can't exactly consider it to be lifetime. I bought my first erg over 12 years ago and had put in a little time on a club erg before that. And, of course, that first erg, a model B with a PM(1), did not have a log card slot. I have most of my hand written records, but never bothered to enter those from the earlier years.

i have to agree. "LIFETIME" should be just that.

otherwise call it total card meters or something easily identifiable.

or make these things WIFI now, or SD card comptabile...or just mass internal storage.

Get RowPro and upload your results to the Concept 2 website.

Any total meters can be erased in the PM2, PM3 or PM4 so it is not a permanent record.
