Logbook to Strava SkiErg functionality. Why no Power data?

I love the fact that my Logbook syncs automatically with Strava and pushes most of the data I want.

However the data for SkiErg sessions isn’t as comprehensive as the RowErg or BikeErg, in that power data isn’t transferred.

Looking at the clever ‘screenshot’ created on Strava also shows a slight difference with Virtual being added to the pic for the other two Erg’s but not the SkiErg.

To me it looks like the API used for the SkiErg is different to the other two? Is there a reason for this? Other than the amount of ‘strokes’ per session there should be little difference in the data feed between the RowErg and SkiErg so why is ‘Power’ not transferred?

Exactly! I am curious about this issue, too. Rowerg exercise stats are great on strava, but Skierg exercises on strava have no power data at all.

Got the following reply from Concept2 support.
Still can’t say I understand ‘why’ power isn’t shown, and don’t have the time (or inclination) to learn the Strava API so guess I never will.

Hey ho, so no power data for SkiErg until Strava add it as an activity.

“Thanks for your email. Strava currently supports a limited number of Virtual activity types, of which Row and Bike are two, but Ski is not, which is why the data that Strava displays is somewhat different for virtual and non-virtual activities.”

Ok, thanks for letting me know. I wrote to Strava support and made a virtual activity option addition request for nordic ski activities today. I hope they at least consider and plan adding it in the near future. I'll update if i get any news from Strava about this issue.

Ok, thanks for letting me know. I wrote to Strava support and made a virtual activity option addition request for nordic ski activities today. I hope they at least consider and plan adding it in the near future. I'll update if i get any news from Strava about this issue.
