Concept 2 programs not even installing

Apologies if this is not the right place to post this, but I've downloaded the following software from Concept 2 for the Windows platform and neither of them will even install.

They are:

* ErgChatter
* FirmwareV101Setup

According to C2's page, ErgChatter is a program that runs under Windows XP and Vista, but is not validated for Windows 7 or 8. Fine, I run Windows XP SP3 Professional 32-bit with all updates installed and when I try to run the (presumably) setup program I receive the following message.

Error cannot read the setup installation file.

All I can do is to click OK.

The second program is the special Windows utility to update a very old (pre v1.01) PM3 to firmware version 1.01 in order to then allow normal firmware upgrades thereafter.

When I try running this program I receive the following error:

FirmwareVersionV101Setup.exe is not a valid Win32 application.

Any help appreciated.

There's something wrong with your Windows. Everything I've ever downloaded has installed and run first go.
