erg data app won't release iPhone X
erg data app won't release iPhone X
I have just upgraded to an iPhone X. My 1st time using it on my YMCA's PM5 went normally until I was finished. I tried to leave the app and erg data wouldn't release the phone. I had to do a reset. I opened the app at home to check on the workout and again couldn't leave it. Any ideas?

The obvious answer is take the iPhone back, upgrade to a Samsung Galaxy.

I’m very happy with new iPhone. I believe the crux of the problem is the lack of a “home” button. By posting this I wanted to raise the flag that we need a software update. I hope Concept2 will release one soon.

Have you emailed them then?

No. I was hoping someone from Concept2 would monitor a subject called Bug Reports on a public forum about their product. I know I would if I were writing software for them. I started here because if I found several posts about iPhone Xs, I would know I wasn’t alone. I will take your suggestion and try to find an email address for them.

I have exactly the same problem. No home button on the iPhone X means no (straightforward) way out of ergdata ... you are stuck there and it is an enormous pain.
There is a workaround to release your iPhone X from ergdata's shackles:
Click on right side button to switch off screen.
Click on right side button to get to home screen.
Swipe left to right.
Open any other app under "Siri App Suggestions" (e.g., music).
Swipe slowly from bottom to mid-way on the screen and pause to open the app-switcher.
Press and wait on any app to display the red minus icon (in the top left hand side of each app).
Click on the red minus button to force close ergdata.

You need to tell Concept2 they don't monitor the forum.

Problem appears to be fixed. You can now swipe upwards to put the app into background mode, as with other iPhone apps.
