Re: PM5 looses Bluetooth AND Ant+ connection
This was the case. I did the update and now things are working again. New feature in latest firmware is that it shows the battery level. Does somebody know are battery used in PM5 monitor chargeable or once used/replace?rr0ss0rr wrote:Current firmware is 161 .. I would suggest installing it

Re: PM5 looses Bluetooth AND Ant+ connection
The PM5 reverted to using stock standard replaceable D-cells.
Re: PM5 looses Bluetooth AND Ant+ connection
There are no "D" rechargeables .. Only a an adaptor that utilizes a "AA" rechargeable. The mAh capacity for a Alkaline D is 17000 vs 2100mAh for a AA Eneloop. So figure the Alkaline D will last 8-9 times longer that a AA rechargeable.
Re: PM5 looses Bluetooth AND Ant+ connection
I've just started having the Bluetooth connection problem - everything was working fine before & nothing's (apparently) changed....
I don't have / can't try the Ant+.
PM5's running v161 and 'phone's a Nokia8 running Android 8.1

Re: PM5 looses Bluetooth AND Ant+ connection
I've found a fix (for Android 8.1.0).
In Bluetooth settings, select Advanced, select the Paired PM5 & 'Forget' it.
It seems that if the PM5 is 'permanently' Paired then there's some weird communications conflict. If the 'phone & PM5 just connect for the workout session, all is well.
I've been able to replicate this, so my advice / solution is - if Android asks you whether you want to Pair the PM5 - don't !
I've also engaged & informed Concept2 Support.
Hope this works for others...

...and incidentally, as Concept2 Support have just pointed out to me, this problem / solution is actually described on their website here...

It was also mentioned that you shouldn't have a USB & 'phone connected at the same time.
Hope this helps!
