I have an OmniKey CardMan 5121 reader, which appears to Windows as "two" card readers -- one contact, one contactless for RFID cards.
When I start LogCard, it says:
"More than one SmartCard detected - not supported"
And then it bombs out:
"LogCard Utility.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."
ModName: qtcore4.dll
Offset 000a5484
Most other cardreader applications present a list of installed card readers and allow me to chose one. I haven't been able to disable just 'half' of this card reader to make it appear as a single slot.
I know the card reader is able to read I2C cards, and the ATR shows correctly. I'm able to dump 4KB of data from the card using other applications. It's just LogCard that doesn't seem to work.
LogCard Utility 6.00 crashes with "multiple card reader

I'm, probably, pre-empting Scott Hamilton's reply.
The logcard util works with the OmniKey 3121 reader, it's probably never been tested with the 5121 reader.
If it appears as two separate windows devices; can you disable the RFID contactless reader using the Windows device manager? To see if that works.

Excellent idea.. I just checked, and it appears as one device in the Windows device manager, unfortunately. I can't see an obvious way to disable just the contactless interface.
It lists as multiple card readers in things like the GemPlus Diagnostic tool.
I guess if I was to submit a feature request, it would be to either scan all detected card readers for C2 rowing cards, or present a list of found card readers to chose from.
(I also have a Gemplus reader, but The GemPlus GPR400 does't appear to work with the C2 protocol (I2C) cards. No fault of LogCard there.)

Send an email to Scott (ScottH [at] Concept2 [dot] com), he'll likely solicit your help as an alpha / beta tester for future version of the LogCard Util. (I have that role for PM3/PM4 firmware, LCU and some parts of the concept2.com website.)Ground Loop wrote: I guess if I was to submit a feature request, it would be to either scan all detected card readers for C2 rowing cards, or present a list of found card readers to chose from.
The folks at C2 are very responsive to requests for changes to the software / firmware that we're working with.
