PM4 shuts off when connecting USB cable on MAC

Post by Jamie Dickinson » November 13th, 2010, 5:05 pm

I downloaded the latest firmware, rebooted computer several times, but every time a try to connect my Macbook, the PM4 goes dead. When I disconnect the computer, it starts back up again immediately. I've only been able to upload data once. And now can't do anything online. Does anyone know what to do?

The problem is with a conflict between the firmware in your monitor and HP Printer or Scanner software. If you can update the firmware to the latest version using someone else's computer, this will solve the problem. If you cannot do this, then uninstall the HP Printer/Scanner software, update the firmware, and then you can reinstall the HP software. To update firmware, find instructions at www.concept2.com/firmware. You will get new features in your monitor when you update as well.
