Hello

I am not sure if this is a bug or not, or if it has already been fixed.

We do our testing in countdown from a set distance to ZERO. We typically set it to 2000M, 1000M or 500M.

When the PM3 distance shows ZERO the clock stops and the time trial is finished ON THE PM3 device.

HOWEVER;

The software we have implemented follows the CSAFE calls on the distance parameter looking for a zero distance for the end of the trial. This may show ZERO when the PM3 display shows ZERO BUT quite frequently it sits on 0.1 or 0.2 i.e. it doesnt make it to zero.

Cheers

MarkA

MarkA,

What version of the PM3 firmware are you using when you see the residual distance in the CSAFE commands?

Mark

We are currentlyat 88 Beta build 11. Please go to the Concept2 website (http://www.concept2.com/05/rower/servic ... update.asp) and update your PM3. Then let me know how things work.

Thanks....

Mark,
We loaded that version and did a number of steady state trials over 1000M

It stopped 0.2m short in the 150W and 0.1m short in the 225W trial.

MarkA and MarkO

Please explain exactly what you are doing in your trials so that I may reproduce the behavior. For example, Model D/Model C. physically rowing/simulator, polling strategy of application, etc.. Can you save the command/responses to a file so I can see what the PM3 is providing to your application while the workout is ending?

I see by your post that you are operating at 1:55 - 2:10 pace. I typically test at slightly faster paces using a simulator. Do you see the same behavior at all paces or have you noticed any difference?

Thanks,

Mark
