1609 mtr. English mile
In Holland we have rowed a distance of 1609 mtr.after a month training.
It is impossible to put my results for this distance on the world ranking list, to compare with others.
Who can tell me something concerning my results?
Time: 6:29.7
Man, age 51
Weight: 91 kg
Kindly regards

Frank?

The mile is a very popular distance in UK.
Just for the record, attached I send you the link to the resuts of the most popular indoor mile regatta, The Evesham Golden Mile:

You know, there is 50% possibilities:
Either you got it right (as me), or you got it wrong!
Tot straks!
And back to topic: The mile is a nice distance to do.
It's shorter than a 2k, but hurts nearly as much.
It's a good preparation to do a test about a month before doing a full out 2k.

It's shorter than a 2k, but longer than a 1k...but than again shorther than a marathon but much longer then the 500m.
Please give us a hint!
