Please give us an "Ignore User" Feature!

Dear Concept2 (Bill, Scott, Jon?),
Just in case you hadn't seen it under training, I thought I'd cross-post this thread (from the Training Forum) here.
As BobS. said, it really is getting to be "out of conTROLL." There are several users who seem to turn almost every thread into a discussion of their own personal obsessions. While each of us has our own levels of appreciation or tolerance of, and amusement with, such obsessive posts/posters, we are missing a crucial tool to allow each of us to manage our own use of the forum--the "ignore user" feature.
On the old forum, and now on the UK forum (which seems to be based on the same software as this one?), one can elect to "ignore" a user and simply read everything else. Even on threads where they post repeatedly, it can make those threads manageable and enjoyable again!
Can we have that ability here in this forum?
Thanks,
Alissa
