Ghost user removing

Howdy,
While registering on this forum, i first used my hotmail.com email account. By some reason I never got activation message to it, while many times tried "Resend activation email" option. It just said "email successfully sent", but i never received them.
Well, i register another user with gmail.com account, got activation message perfectly and activated account.
I dont use gmail account much (in contrast to hotmail), so finally I went to account settings and tried change my gmail address to hotmail address. Obviously board said that that hotmail.com email address already exists and used by another user.
Is it possible to wipe that "never activated" account, so i could change my address? Otherwise that ghost user will sit here forever in the userlist.
