Signature updating

Post by Cyclingman1 » May 4th, 2012, 7:16 am

There needs to be a more user friendly way of updating user signatures.

There needs to be a way of being directed to a place when opening up one's profile/signature where the image of times can be edited. Now a "cookie" is required to use one link I am aware of. For one using different computers, this requirement is not user friendly. I want to be able to edit the image in my signature, not an older one that a "cookie" knows about. Maybe there is a way? Thanks.

That signature image is hosted on a website that has nothing to do with Concept2 or this forum.

It's a service provided by Daren Chandisingh on the C2CTC.com website that is nothing to do with Concept2 (and clearly states that).

The code is functionally stabilised so you won't get it changed.

It can cause problems. I got to the point where mine was not accepting changes at all so I just created a new one. Overall though you cannot complain as it's free. It would pay to just write down your PB's on paper in case it all goes astray as I was told it expires in 12 months. In future I will be putting the rating information in with the PB's as IMO this is a key piece of information missing in determining your actual performance.

I've just checked the HTTP header. The new cookie that arrived in my browser does have "expires=Mon, 06-May-2013 09:35:08 GMT". I think that's a very bad design and I'll ask Daren to extend that to ten years. I've not set any PB since 2006.

Edit: I asked Daren to change it and the expiry is now "expires=Wed, 04-May-2022 13:08:57 GMT". That should make it work better for the casual users.

Hey thats great, wish I could get changes done that quick in the PM3 Firmware !

Am I the only one in the whole world that is still complaining you cannot get the overall rating result in the top line of memory to 1/10th's of a SPM ?

If you want that hook up a laptop and use the freebie RowIt program.

Cheers, will have a look at it but it's probably not going to be as convenient as pushing a couple of buttons and getting the result on the PM3 screen while still in the chat at the finish line of RowPro.
