She's a very rich woman, and I doubt she assembled that erg herself. The other erg that was there was probably brought in by that woman who was exercising with her.

I doubt Martha assembled either one of them.

I really don't see any reason to take potshots at her on this. She's exercising, showing people how cool the erg is, both are very positive things. Let's just take it at that.

Michael,

Yes I agree! :)

PaulS,

I would take up rowing like Martha but am not quite endowed for it. :)

Paul,

If you have a link where I have posted anything that offends you, please post it here.

I would like to see any such message and, if it exists, will certainly do my best to change it to something agreeable and to which you would appreciate.

Cheers,

John :)

Indeed, though it would not be good if she injured herself on her new "favorite exercise machine", as that has a tendency to alter favoritism, and we would really like to see more favorable and frequent publicity of all our "favorite exercise" machine, wouldn't we?

Why is it that "correcting" someone is seen as having some sort of animosity toward them?

I think Martha is dandy at what she does, though I wouldn't take stock trading advice from her.
Erg on,

lord this is such a refreshing and humorous thread

the idea of J Rude Rupp denying his chronic antagonism toward Paul Smith, is up there with George W Butcher claiming to walk with Jesus as a Man of Peace

and yes - why is it that any critique or assessment that is not a paean to "do-it-your-own-way" - is seen as a mean-spirited attack ?

avoiding injury ought to be the priority for any activity, with the possible exception of war, and even then avoiding death and destruction to the greatest degree possible allows the warrior to continue the task

Erg assembled wrong... trainer not teaching her the proper technique...

If even Martha Stewart can't afford good help, I don't see why I'm working so hard to amass my first billion. :(

Sean,

Thank you for comparing me with Jesus though I'm not sure such adulation is completely deserved.
