Heartrate receiver pm3

Post by btlnorway » September 3rd, 2015, 5:23 pm

Hi!!

As there are alot of pm3 in my gym, I plan to buy a heart rste receiver and a polar heartbelt.
There is one for dkierg and one for the rower. The different is that yhe cable is very short for the skierg. But will the skierg modell fit and work at the modell D?

As long as the skierg has a PM4 NOT a PM5 then you can plug the analog HR dongle into it. The cable between the dongle and the PM3/PM4 is just a 3.5mm stereo headphone extension lead.

Hard work fitting one at the gym unless you plan to leave the receiver attached under the monorail and plugged into the PM3.The range of the Polar is about 6 feet at best and the 3.5mm plug for the receiver is underneath the monitor and is a real pain to have to try and plug in every time you want to row.

If they have a number of machines you will then have to try and get on the same machine each time if you leave the receiver connected.

This is where the PM4 is so much better, you just take your Garmin ANT+ chest strap in and pair it on the machine and once remembered it will pair automatically when you just sit in the seat.
