how did a model B cost when it was new

I would like to know how much did a model B cost when it was new, right from C2 factory, Also what was the shipping cost, at that time, for a new model B.

I am interested as well. Can anyone supply how prices and models have changed over time from A to E? My first C2 was a Model B from 1986, but no idea what I paid for it.

I'm looking into this. I remember the original Model A sold for $495, with a $50 discount to USRA members ($25 membership fee). Will post when I have more info.......C2JonW

I don't know about the A or B, but when I bought my wife a new Model C in August 1999 it cost $750 plus $35 Shipping. It came either the next day or the day after. One of the most worthwhile purchases I've ever made at any price.

$650.00 comes to mind for Model B in mid to late 1980s. Could be wrong, been a long time. Looked for but could not find invoice.

On my invoice dated 5/24/93 my model B cost $700.00 and shipping was $36.00 for a total of $736.00.

Model C PM2 1995-$725
Model C PM2+ 1998-$790
Model C PM2+ 1999-$830
Model C PM2 2002-$795
Model D PM3 2003- $850
Model D PM4 2006- $1000
Model E PM4 2006- $1200
Note these would be the US factory direct prices at the time.
