Quick question about the display PM3

If I understand correctly; The PM3 uses a battery, as does the PM4 uses , but it is charged while rowing.

What about when the USB cable is connected? I have a PM3 and I've notice the screen doesn't turn off if left hooked up to my computer. Does it draw the required power from the computer through the USB cable or is it still all coming from the battery?

Yes. All USB devices can draw between 100mA and 500mA from the computer.

The PM4 can use that to run the monitor and recharge the battery (if it goes flat because you're still running V14 firmware). The PM3 will use it instead of the D-cells.
