PM2 suddenly acting strange

Post by jesSea » August 29th, 2008, 6:06 pm

Hi all. For no reason, my PM2 has gotten itself into a mode where:

- The bottom left window (meters, pace, etc.) works normally
- The top left (elapsed time) window doesn't show the rightmost digit but otherwise works normally.
- All other windows are blank.

So far, I have tried the following fixes with no success:

- New batteries
- Took the batteries out for 24 hrs then replaced
- Reset the PM2 as described for error codes in the online manual.

Anyone have any idea what's going on here, or is my PM2 just fried?

Thanks!

Try a four finger reset.

Hold down the four bottom buttons on the face of the monitor (recall, 2 set digits, ready). While holding these, press and release the ON/OFF button. You can release the four buttons now. The monitor should do some fast counting for 10-15 seconds and then display a number 5 in the center area. At this point, press and release the ON/OFF button again. Zeros should come up and the monitor should work.

Make sure the plug from the flywheel sensor is fully seated in the socket on the back.

Try another monitor, to test the sensor is still working.

Then call C2.

Four finger reset doesn't work

That's what I was referring to when I mentioned I had "Reset the PM2". It does the fast counting but the number 5 never comes up. I'll try contacting C2 ...
